Hazardous waste disposal in Livermore
I took a bunch of old paint cans to Livermore for disposal at the special facility near Vasco Rd. This is a really convenient way to get rid of chemicals, paints, batteries, and other hazardous materials.
It’s kind of a trip to have a bunch of guys in white space-suits surround your car. They take it all out and sort it as best they can. Lots of cans they get are unlabeled, or mixed up in unknown concoctions. This is a service which benefits all of us and should be used even more.

On their website www.StopWaste.org they explain what can/can’t be drop-off:

Each city or area also has policys for allowing residents to dispose of large items and extra trash. Dublin switched from a scheduled “big trash day” to an on-call system. Call your trash company to find out which system they use.
